Lafayette House 02
This house is conveniently located across the street from Lafayette House 01. We originally didn't see it as we were focused on the first house. After a while, one of our friends said they noticed something back in the woods and went to check it out. We were delighted to find an even older cracker home hidden in the pine tree farm.
This house style was built in the early 1900's, but I don't have any further information on it. It was devoid of any dated material inside that may have left some clues as to it's history.
The only property record I could find was that it sold in 2018 to the previous owner's daughter. Oddly enough, the property across the street, Lafayette House 01, was sold to what appears to be the previous owner's brother.
This is one of my favorite houses to visit.
The land has been cleared around it, so it sits exposed under the oak trees next to it. All of the pines are gone.
