Family Farmhouse
This was an old farmhouse that belonged to my wife's great grandfather in North Florida. After his death, at the age of 98, the house sat empty for many years. We visited it once in a while to walk the property and look at all the wonderful old things it had in store.
There were several dilapidated barns on the property, remnants of a vineyard, pine trees from the forest service, and a spring fed pond in the rear, complete with beaver dam. The tractor in one of the barns actually started and ran.
There were a few deer blinds on property. The great grandfather's dream was to shoot a deer on his property, meanwhile he was legally blind, couldn't hear and would sit in his deer blind with a shotgun, waiting for that opportunity to come.
While the property was kept mowed, and the house kept up, nobody stayed there. It was finally sold in 2018.
