This dilapidated ruin is sitting on a 240 acre parcel of land. The owner lives nearby in a neighboring town.
The previous owner appears to have been a parent. The owner's names are related to a street name that bears the same name. The street name is related to dairy farming.
I would guess that this was just old farm land from a previous era turned into cow pastures for the family owned dairy farm.
