The Tank Swap

The tank swap took a couple of hours. My main issue were that the rock was not all going to fit in without breaking it up and that the anemone was rooted into a hole of the large rock that I needed to break up.Also was the fact that I had to move all the sand and water over quickly before the temp changed too much, all the while keeping the fish and critters safe in a bucket.

It took a good 48 hours for the water to fully clear but the move was successful and everybody survived.

Recent Updates

[05/10/2008] Cleaned up the entire tank inside and out with water and vinegar. Tested pump and found out it was dead. Replace with pump on hand. Replaced lighting with existing lighting on hand. Setup tank during evening hours and swapped everything over from the old 10gal hex tank.

[05/09/2008] Tank dropped off at my house awaiting cleanup. it was in good shape but had tons of old coralline algae crusted all over the glass.
