Modified Hood Lighting
The tank hood came with a working single 50/50 PC light. I wanted to use my recently purchase Coralife 12" Dual 50/50 light though, but I also wanted to keep the hood. I decided to pull them both apart and cram the Coralife ballast, wires and lighting into the nano cube's hood. The results were satisfactory!

Recent Updates
[05/17/2008] Observed tank still running non stable temps. I have the fans hooked up to the light timer so the temps stay at a steady 77* all day. Once the lights go off, the fans shut off and the temp raises to a steady 80*. While these are still acceptable temps, the 3ish degree swing may not be healthy for the fish or corals. It appears it takes longer than a few hours for the temps to change, so they may be ok. I will have to keep watching. I may leave one fan on all the time and the other hooked up to the timer with the light.
[05/09/2008] The tank was running hot, so I added a couple of 60mm fans to the fan holes that were built into the hood. Before hand the hood was nearly too hot to even touch, afterwards it's nearly room temp.
[05/09/2008] Spent the day monitoring tank, rearranging rocks and corals and tweaking rear chambers, lighting and wiring.
[05/10/2008] Replaced lighting with existing lighting on hand.
